In 1971 when Pete Chapouris started building his chopped '34 Ford 3-window coupe he had no idea that the car would end up on the November 1973 cover of Rod & Custom Magazine. He also had no idea that movie producer Howie Horowitz had spotted the magazine and would seek out Pete's creation to star, along Martin sheen, in the 1974 made for TV movie "The California Kid". The special SO-CAL Speed Shop edition of the DVD is personally autographed by Pete; It also includes his own written account of the car's history.
